The Annual Father and Son Tournament
At the home of golf - St. Andrews
 |
The Annual Father and Son Tournament to be held at the home of golf promises another truly international field. In all, golfers from 18 different countries including New Zealand, Japan, the United States of America, Sweden and Malaysia, to name a few, have competed in the first five tournaments, held in honor of the legendary Old Tom Morris and his son Tommy. |
Old Tom Morris elevated the sport from its primitive roots as a legendary greenkeeper, designer, and professional golfer. Winning the British Open a staggering four times in the eighteen sixties, he remains the oldest person to have won the event at the age of 46. His son Tommy won four Opens in a row, the first at the tender age of 17.
Morris and young Tommy's achievements are once again commemorated as fathers and sons from across the world are invited to play in a tournament hosted on the courses designed and kept by the legendary Old Tom himself.
Competition Format
