In July 2007, Carnoustie plays host to its seventh Open Championship and improvements have been made to ensure it will be the Angus town's most successful to date. These include an ambitious scheme to revamp Carnoustie's bunkers as well as an intensive aeration program designed specifically to produce classic firm, fast playing conditions. |
Carnoustie is traditionally regarded as one of the most challenging courses on the Open rota and whilst wishing to safeguard that reputation the course will also be set up in such a manner that it will reward good golf.
